Michael J. Latchem

President & CEO

Mike brings 20 years of energy industry experience to Lucid with strengths in team leadership, project origination, commercial development, engineering and operations in growth-oriented environments. His accomplishments in natural gas gathering, transmission and processing assets have been focused in the core development areas of Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. Prior to the formation of Lucid Energy Group, he held positions of President and Vice President for TPF Gas Services and Vice President at Crosstex Energy.

  • From 2009 to 2011, Mike led the development of a startup company backed by Tenaska Capital and served as its President. TPG Gas Services was a first mover in developing much needed infrastructure and gas treating facilities in the East Texas Haynesville and Middle Bossier Shale production targets. His team constructed over 1 billion cubic feet per day capacity of new pipeline and gas treating facilities anchored by many public and privately held producing companies.
  • From 2001 to 2009, Mike held various positions at Crosstex Energy with the most recent position as Vice President of Business Development. He began his time at Crosstex as an engineer focusing on engineering design and capital project management in growth areas of Oklahoma and South Texas. He was heavily involved in optimization of existing facilities, focusing on repurposing systems for growth capacities, and integrating newly acquired assets. He transitioned to commercial deal development in 2005, and following the company’s acquisition of the midstream assets of Chief Oil & Gas in the Barnett Shale, he led the corporate development efforts for mergers and acquisitions and negotiations for large capital growth projects. Mike moved from focusing in North Texas to Louisiana in 2008 when Haynesville Shale development began. Utilizing the existing expansive footprint of the company’s assets in Louisiana, he negotiated various transformative gathering and treating growth projects.
  • Mike was an entrepreneurial consulting engineer from 1999 to 2001 focusing in the gas patch of East Texas and Oklahoma. His client list included XTO Energy, Marathon and Crosstex Energy.

Mike began his career in Houston as a process engineer with Parsons Process Group, where he held various positions from design engineer to area process lead engineer. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station.

Jay L. Langham

Executive Vice President & COO

A co-founder of Lucid Energy Group, Jay serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Jay has 17 years of industry experience with a track record of success in value creation through midstream project execution and operations management.

From 2010 to 2013, Jay served as Vice President of Engineering and Operations for TPF Gas Services, a midstream services provider specializing in operating gathering and treating assets in the East Texas Haynesville and Middle Bossier Shale play. As VP he was responsible for the installation of over 300 miles of high pressure gathering pipelines and 1,250 gpm of amine treating facilities.

From 2005 to 2010, Jay held various roles at Crosstex Energy Services, working initially as a Project Engineer for the company's treating services group, before moving to a management position in 2007 with responsibility for the capital project execution for the company’s Barnett Shale buildout. In 2010 Jay assumed responsibility for all corporate capital project execution activities as Director of Engineering.

Jay began his career in South Texas as a reliability engineer with DuPont, where he held various positions from maintenance engineer to process optimization utilizing Six Sigma technology. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station.

Ryan Moss

Executive Vice President & CFO

Before joining Lucid in 2016 as CFO, Ryan Moss was a partner at Perella Weinberg Partners, where he worked in the advisory business focusing on the energy industry. A leading financial services firm, Perella Weinberg provides advisory and asset management services to a global client base that includes corporations, institutions and governments. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg in 2013, Ryan worked for Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division in Houston. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2006 to co-found the midstream effort. Over his tenure, Morgan Stanley Midstream became Wall Street’s leading midstream group, enjoying the leading market share in each of M&A advisory and equity and high-yield underwriting. While at Morgan Stanley, Ryan’s responsibilities expanded to include coverage of U.S. supermajors and large-cap independent energy companies. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Ryan was a member of the Energy Group at UBS Investment Bank.

Ryan earned a BBA in finance from the University of Texas in 1997 and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School in 2001. He serves as vice chairman of the board of governors of Uplift Education, a nonprofit charter school system serving nearly 12,000 students in North Texas. He also serves on the advisory council for the Master of Science in Finance program and the University Development Board at the University of Texas. Ryan is an active member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and previously served on the board of directors of Small Steps Nurturing Center in Houston.

Jim Howe

Senior Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer

Jim Howe joined Lucid in 2016 as the Chief Accounting Officer.  He is an accounting and finance executive with more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has held leadership roles in the midstream and upstream segments of the industry, as well as oil field services.  Prior to joining Lucid, Jim served as CAO for upstream producers Samson Resources and Energy and Exploration Partners. Preceeding this he was in similar leadership roles with public midstream companies Copano Energy and Crosstex Energy (now EnLink). He also has served in financial manager roles with Arthur Andersen, Baker Hughes and Pioneer Natural Resources. Jim began his career in the audit practice of Arthur Andersen. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the University of Arkansas. He is currently serves on the board and is an officer of the Dallas Chapter of Financial Executives International.

Stew Fuller

Vice President, Finance

Stew Fuller is responsible for financial analysis, forecasting, capital structuring and diligence related to acquisitions and divestitures. He joined Lucid in 2013 from EnCap Investments, a $37 billion private equity fund focused exclusively on investments in the oil and gas industry. Prior to his time at EnCap, Stew was an investment banking analyst for Stephens Inc. Stew received a BBA in finance from Southern Methodist University with honors and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

Jennifer Kordic

Senior Counsel

Jennifer Kordic, Vice President and Senior Counsel, joined Lucid in August 2013. Her background includes almost 10 years experience in the midstream oil and gas industry, previously having served in various legal and contract administration roles at Regency Energy Partners and Caiman Energy. Jennifer manages all pending legal matters for Lucid and advises the company regarding contractual obligations, regulatory filings, corporate governance matters, employee issues and other transactional and litigation matters. Jennifer also serves as Lucid’s corporate secretary. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association and Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.

J.B. Smith

Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

J.B. Smith joined Lucid in 2016 as a result of its acquisition of Agave Energy Company. He is an energy industry executive with more than 25 years of energy industry experience. Prior to Lucid, J.B. was the President and a Board Member of Agave Energy Company and its subsidiaries. He served in various capacities with the company over its existence, beginning with its formation in 1995.  Before joining Agave, J.B. also served in various roles at Yates Petroleum Corporation, its subsidiaries and associated entities.  He has also served as city councilman for Artesia, New Mexico, where he chaired the infrastructure committee and served on the budget committee.  J.B. holds a BBA and MBA from the University of Mississippi School of Business.
